Any way lady with a axe n stuff.

Had this done for a while now, talkin' since last year, because I got lazy writing that backstory down there, and since this has been done from so long ago it may not look as good and my newer things. Hope your eyeballs don't bleed because of it. :V

Backstoreh! (Most likely poorly written! Also jee wiz, that's a lot of type!)

Evelyn, a once proud member of The Union gone rogue. When she was young, Evelyn lived in an area under Independent control, and she hated every minute of it. People ran around doing as they pleased, and killing each other over the simpliest disagreements. The Independent didn't care what anyone did, as long as they didn't do anything against The Independent or their members directly. One day, Evelyn over-heard a couple of people talking about The Union. The two were mostly saying negative things about them, but Evelyn learned that they wanted to bring peace to the world, by uniting everyone under one government, just like those attempted hundreds of years ago, but failed thanks to The Independent stepping in and turning the world into the ruined mess it is. After hearing that conversation, Evelyn tried to leave her hometown a few times, but all failed due to the very few people that still understood what morality is, and returned her home.

One day however, Evelyn found her chance. The Union came to her town; Evelyn's parents quickly brought her inside and told her to hide. Not sure why she was told to hide, because of The Union wanting peace. After a few seconds of sitting in her room, Evelyn heard a commotion going on outside which was followed by a very fimiliar sound in her town, gun fire. Thinking that one of the random residents fired at The Union members, just because they didn't like them. Evelyn sat in her room for a while, the shots started to die down, but there were still a few here and there. Figuring this was the perfect moment to leave, Evelyn opened her door and peeked out to make sure her parents weren't there, and then she proceeded to put on her gas mask and leave through the back door. Right before Evelyn rounded the corner to the streets, a squad of Union soldiers came around. They all aimed their guns at her, and started shouting, but Evelyn was to panicked to understand what they were saying and froze up. One of them however didn't have their gun raised, and shouted to the rest "Lower your weapons! Its just a child!" They all obeyed, but when Evelyn took a step foward one of the soldiers pointed their gun, but the man who shouted the order, quickly pushed the soldier's barrel to the side and a shot went off. The man then pulled his gun on the soldier and said with a very angry and stirn voice, "What did I just say?! Disobey an order again, and I'll put one right between your eyes!"
"S- Sorry, sir! I acted on instinct!" the soldier replied and lowered his weapon once more.
"Next time, spend more time listening to your superiors, rather than your gut," the man then put his sidearm in his holster and turned toward Evelyn, and held out his hand, "It's okay, no one's going to hurt you."
Evelyn walked toward the man, and instead of taking the man's hand, she hugged him, and begged for him to take her with him. Evelyn even started crying, because how badly she just wanted to leave the hell-hole she called home. The man didn't ask any questions, and picked up Evelyn, telling her to keep her eyes shut and to not open them for any reason until he said it was okay. Evelyn did just that, even though she knew what he was trying to keep her from seeing. She'd seen many people die in the time she lived in her town, but she'd do anything to leave, and maybe the scene was worse than she thought.

After what felt like forever, the man finally told Evelyn she could open her eyes, when she did, she saw that she was in different town. The first thing she noticeds was a person being arrested by a couple of Union Enforcers.
"What are they doing to that person?" ask Evelyn.
"Well, that person broke the rules of the town, and now they're going to locked in jail," the man replied.
"You have rules here?"
"Of course we do. Didn't your town have rules?"
"No, people just did anything they wanted."
"Sounds like a real crumby town, if you ask me."
"It was."
Evelyn smiled; she knew she was going to like it here.

The man, who is named Gordon Williams, took care of Evelyn while he was on leave from The Union. When he was on duty, the local Union Enforcers watched over her. Evelyn learned a lot about The Union while she was growing up in her new home. When Evelyn turned 18, she joined The Union and went into the soldier branch. She did what she was told, and did whatever it took to get the job done. Once during a firefight with Independent members, Evelyn ran out off ammunition, pulled out her knife and charged the the enemy and took most of them out, while the rest of the people in her picked off the rest. After this, Evelyn always preferred to charge her enemies with a melee weapon, most of the time ones she found during the fight. People within The Union eventually started to call her "The Bull," because of this. Evenutally Evelyn found a fire axe during a battle in an old building, and she became attatched to it, so she filled out all the paper work for it to be part of her equipment. Amused by the nickname she aquired, she started calling her axe her "horns."

Through all of her hard work, Evelyn quickly rose through the ranks, and became the youngest Officer in the history of The Union at the age of 28. One day, Evelyn was ordered by the Commander of her sector to have her squad clear out an area in an abondoned city of mutants, so they construct a new base. The area had a very dense cloud of mutagen, so it was very difficult to see, and even with military grade gas filters, they couldn't stay in the cloud for very long. After completing her mission, Evelyn noticed something she hadn't before, becuase of the cloud... The mutants she had killed, were the (un)lucky few that weren't completely mutated and still had their humanity. At first Evelyn was outraged that this happened, but then she thought that there was just simply an error in their intel on the area, from it being difficult to see through the mutagen cloud. When Evelyn returned to base she went and brought the issue up with the Commander. The Commander told Evelyn that she must be mistaken, because the men he sent to scout the area checked from afar, and on the inside; and they confirmed they were no civilian mutants at all. Evelyn still had her suspisions. Using a favor a Senior Officer owed her, Evelyn managed to gain access to the top secret file storage. While digging around, Evelyn found something - files containing information from the reconnaissance team and their orders.

"RcN █,
You are to lead a squad with RcN █ and RcN █; and scout the area the locals call "Ghost Town." We have information that makes me believe The Independent is has mutagen containers hidden there, they maybe using some to keep the city district covered in a dense cloud of mutagen to stay undetected.
Signed, CmD █████"
"Day 1: 18:47 Setting up camp, but sun's going down; will starting scouting in the morning.

Day 2: 06:30 RcN █ said he saw some movment in the cloud, but I haven't seen anything.
08:49 Saw some movement in the cloud, RcN
█ confirmed movement aswell, guess █ wasn't seeing things after all.
10:13 Spotted a figure on a rooftop, concerned that we are being watch so we will stay alert and move camp when night falls.
          21:00 Moving location.

Day 3: 02:00 Set up new camp, hidden in foliage.
08:00 Haven't seen anything, and haven't been able to get any sleep.
13:29 Saw the figure on the rooftop again, but we were able to make out a human form looking through binoculars; was looking at our old camp site. Looks like it had claws, I must be seeing things from the  lack of sleep...
15:00 Turning in early, can't keep my eyes open any longer. RcN
█, and █ offered to watch another night.

Day 4: 20:00 Haven't seen anything all day.
20:02 Once I say something, saw someone headed our way, too dark to make anything out. (How did I not notice anyone watching us?!) Pulling out, too risky; our presence might be discovered."

"Day 1, Second trip: 09:00 Set up camp
10:00 Occasional movement in the cloud.
21:00 Haven't seen anything for a while. Turning in for the night.

Day 2: 08:48 Spotted a person wandering the outskirts, but had a few features of a mutant. Both RcN
█ and █ confirmed. Must be one of those "civ mutes" I've been hearing about. RcN █ Suggested we try to make contact, I said I'll think about it.
12:37 Saw a different civ mute wandering outskirts. I might take up
█ up on his offer.
22:30 Nothing of sugnifisance, turning in for the night.

Day 3: 21:00 Nothing today.

Day 4: 11:46 Saw another civ mute. I agreed to
█'s offer, and he went down to talk.
           11:58
█ confronted the mutie, they seemed to be getting along.
           12:10 The mutie brought
█ into the cloud, I radioed him to make sure he was safe; he said not to worry.
           16:00
█ hasn't come out of the cloud yet, his mask filters won't last much longer in that cloud. I tried radioing him, no response.
17:30 No filter can last thing long. I can only assume the worst. I knew I should've sent him down there.
           19:00 Still no sign of
█. Don't know why I'm still searching for him.

Day 5: 03:00 Haven't slept. RcN █ still hasn't come back. I'll give him one more day. Don't know why I'm bothering.
09:00 Saw a figure heading out of the cloud, but suddenly retreated. Odd.
21:00 Turning in for the night.

Day 6: 19:00 Nothing

Day 7: 21:00 Nothing again. Pulling out, I suggest sending in a St unit to get some info on the inside."

Evelyn also found files containing the reports of a St unit who scouted the area as well.

"St.
██████,
I need you to investigate "Ghost Town." We have reason to believe that The Independent may be storing mutagen containers in the area, and are keeping it covered in a dense cloud of the stuff to stay hidden. I've sent a RcN team scout earlier and they couldn't find anything of signifigance, but they have reported movement in the area. Be warned, the cloud of mutagen is so dense that even military grade filters won't last longer than a few hours in the cloud, so bring plenty extra. Also, the RcN team lost a member in the area so keep an eye out for him if possible.
Signed,
Commander
█████"

"<Too lazy to put any other reports here right now. Hah ruined your emerssion.>"

"General █'█████,
I have gathered intel on a location "Ghost Town", and we have evidence that The Independent is using it as storage for canisters of mutagen. The area is also inhabited by civilian mutants, whom are knowingly allowing The Independent store the canisters and are extremely protective of their town; thus far anyone who enters the town is attacked.
I hereby request permission to send in a squad to secure the canisters and exterminate the mutants, as they will most certinally attack our soldiers. Once the canisters are secured and threat eliminated, we will create a temporary base, so we can capture the members from The Independent delivering the canisters and attempt to learn where the canisters are coming from.
Signed,
CmD █████"

"CmD █████,
I have reviewed your request and attached evidence and I will grant you the permission to send in the squad to secure the canisters and eliminate the mutants.
Once the squad's task is completed, send a confirmational letter letting me know.
Signed,
General █'█████"

Filled with rage over being sent to kill countless innocent people, Evelyn stormed out of the file storage room, headed to her room, grabbed her axe, and went to do what her instincts were telling- kill the Commander and avenge the ones she had been sent to kill.
Evelyn walked up to the CmD's office and knocked the two people guarding the door unconscious, not wanting to spill any more innocent blood. Once inside Evelyn ran up to the CmD, and drove the blade of her axe into jugular of the CmD.
With his dying breathe the CmD let out a simple, "Why...?"
Evelyn replied, "You know exactly why," then turned and walked out of the room.
Once outside, Evelyn turned and noticed a unit staring at her and her bloodied axe, Evelyn turned and ran when seconds later the base's alarm starting blarring. Through shear luck, Evelyn managed to escape everyone who chased her. Upon reaching one of the exits, Evelyn was met with two units guarding the door, one happened to be a close friend, Carter. The unit aimed their rifle at Evelyn, demanding her surrender, having no other choice she complied and threw axe to the floor then put her hands in the air. Not wanting her life to come to and end, Evelyn looked at Carter with desperate and pleading eyes. Feeling conflicted, Carter stops and thinks about who to stay loyal to, but deciding to help her friend, Carter tackles the unit and holds him down tells Evelyn to run. Evelyn grabs her axe and runs to the door and freezes, she can't leave knowing her friend will be branded a traitor as well, so Carter quickly heads over to the unit and jams the pick of her axe into the unit's skull, killing him almost instantly.
The two say their goodbyes, but not wanting to raise suspicion about Carter's actions, Evelyn tells Carter to brace herself and then delivers a swift punch to her face to make it appear as if she tried to stop Evelyn. Evelyn then leaves through the door and heads out into the world and doesn't stop for anything, though she does look back, hoping no one finds out about what Carter did to save her life.

TL;DR: She got mad at her boss for having her do something bad and killed him and ran away.

Also Evelyn is mine, so please no usey without askey.
Also even though she doesn't appear in the art and only in the backstory, Carter belongs to Biscuit-Rawr. Also also she helped me out with the backstory because I was feeling super lazy. So many tanks n stuff.
